FEMADE EDUCATION

At Femade we have always strived to focus on individuals with chronic pain, chronic illness, and invisible illness. The sad truth is that a number of illnesses that tick off these boxes disproportionately affect those who were assigned female at birth. More research is showing that the development of gynecological health issues and invisible illnesses manifest at any age, but worsen at the onset of puberty. Those with a predominantly female-oriented reproductive system tend to be affected by these illnesses more than males, and menopause tends to quiet these diseases in turn.

Many individuals are trying to put a name to what they are experiencing so we have developed educational pages for the illnesses we see to be disproportionately affecting women. In conjunction, we have also added the findings of our own National Chronic Pain Survey. And lastly, each page provides a brief introduction to the services we offer at Femade that have been proven to improve quality of life in these patients.
